Optimise Home BoConcept collabortion

We had the pleasure of collaborating with BoConcept to create a room set for the Ideal Home Show.

We chose to create a living space and we wanted to emphasise that home design is so much more than aesthetics, a well designed home or space should not only look great but it should make you feel great too.

Home is where you come to retreat after a busy day, it’s where you spend the most important hours with those that matter most. We have created a living space that feels contemporary, sophisticated yet restful, calm and inviting.

The Look

We’ve taken the industrial trend that’s been popular for a while and given it a sophisticated makeover. Soft neutral colours on the walls form a backdrop to showcase elegant & contemporary furniture pieces and sculptural accessories from the new collection from BoConcept.

Custom designed Crittal-style glazed screens frame the room set. Our colour palette of winter whites, soft greens and natural materials softens the look and creates an elegant scheme that is both inviting comfortable.

This look leans toward a more minimalist style, but if executed correctly, it can be elegant and easy to live with, whether in a modern or classic interior. We’ve broken down the room to show you how to create the look at home.

Glazed screens

Crittal-Style windows and doors have been growing in popularity. Opt for full-height versions to create real impact. In our room set we’ve paired them with a striking off-black section of wall paneling that completes the look. We custom designed these screens and had them made by Kells.

Natural Flooring

We chose a wide plant oak floor in a beautiful natural finish. The flooring was supplied and fitted by the Hardwood Floor Company.

Paint colours

All of the paint is from the Dulux Signature Collection. We choose Subtle Cobble which is a rally lovely mellow neutral with a green grey tone for the walls. The skirtings were painted in our favorite woodwork colour, Signature White.

Connect with Nature

Connecting with nature is one of the most powerful ways to create a calming environment. Because we were in an artificial setting without windows it was important that we found a way to bring nature into our room set.

We worked with expert florists, Appassionata to create beautiful floral installations to bring nature into our room set.
